Our WIT

For our WIT we made origami Xmas trees and others. We made origami for kids in hospital and made a doc asking if it is suitable for the kids. We are putting Lolly pops in the Xmas trees and making them effective.  I have a group names: Mason S, Fokus, Luke. We are waiting for an email for our WIT to see if it’s ok with the hospital manager.

The invertebrates in frankley Bush

The invertebrates in frankley

Bush

We emailed a classroom to see what info they can understand. My WIT group was Cejay Me and Kaeylon we emailed Te kakano and asked what was suitable for them so they know what we are saying. We were going to make a box with pictures like worms eat.
We didn’t because they wanted it on a computer or laptop. We put links
On a doc with info of the picture that was on top of the links. I think that I worked well in my group because I was helping them in WIT time. Next WIT I will get more videos and links for my topic.

                          cross country training

cross country training was little bit of fun but mostly BORING it was ok though and it was a tiering for me. I was sweating a little bit doing training. I mostly became last in trainig it was not that far from frankley school. We went from frankley to the seminary bench tracy-teacher ade was up the hill to see if people made it up the hill. I went up the hill with my friends-jaram-masonF-masonS-jae.
It was fun going up the hill with my friends and other people

Kowhaiwhai

This is my Kowhaiwhai art work that I drew, painted and glittered.
The patterns I used was a koru and I also used marama which I made into stencils.
I kept on flipping my stencil to make it easy to draw and paint onto the card.
The marama represents my baby brother and me, the koru represents my mum and dad.

WIT Email

Dear Mrs James & Mrs O´Dowda

Our  WIT group have been studying  invertebrates in the Frankley School bush.

We would like to sort a time to have a little meeting with five students from Te Kakano as soon as possible. We want to know what they are into so we can make a suitable resource to teach them about invertebrates.

We would like to ask these questions.

1. Do you like to read books or go on the computer?

2. Do you like looking at pictures or reading words?

3. What kind of bugs do you like?

Please let us know what time and day would be suitable to work with the children. It will take about 15 minutes.

Thankyou for your time,

Cejay, Luke & Kaeylon

Millipedes

Millipedes mostly get hunted by birds and other flying predators, ground animals and insects. Some millipedes go underground to hunt food to eat then return. Millipedes go on diets and eat healthy things for them to stay healthy.

Protection
Some millipedes make homes  in hidden spots so no predators can attack them so they stay  safe. Some millipedes die trying to protect themselves. Millipedes cures up at dangerous time like when predictors come to attack them at sertinit times. The predators would mostLikely to attack at night to archly eat millipedes

                          Diet
Millipedes are omnivores because they eat meat and plants. They prefer to eat mostly dead and decaying plants, but they sometimes can be found snacking away on live roots or decomposing animals when those are the only option.  Millipedes will sometimes search out and eat earthworms, snails and other insects. Millipedes are detritivores, the name for something that feeds on plants and animals that have died.

Habitat
Some millipedes protect their self in bad times when they’re attacked by other things like birds animals predators . It's really hard to find a millipedes in soil  because they camouflage.  Millipedes are most likely  to make a home in a garden and bush or forest  and in dirt.   Habitats for millipedes are mostly hidden in the wild so they don’t get attacked by birds or other creatures. Some millipedes can bite anything without getting damaged at all unless the thing that got bitten gets revenge.
The name "millipede" means "thousand feet". Millipedes come from the group called arthropods.
